Home & School Association

The goal of the Home & School Association is to fundraise to keep tuition low for our school families and to keep the St. John's Parish contribution under 50% of the school's operating expenses.  In order to do this Home & School tries to raise at least $65,000 each year.   The Home & School Association values the help of parents and parishioner volunteers.  When more parents volunteer and become involved with the Home & School Association, we all will be able to appreciate that St. John's is "more than a school... we're family."

Brat Stands

Home & School sets up four brat stands throughout the year at Prem Meats.

Funfest Weekend and Raffle

Funfest Steak Night is always scheduled for the second weekend in August.  This is the organization's most important fundraiser!  The event includes a delicious grilled steak dinner, raffle drawing, and a live auction followed by a dance with live music.

 

 

 

Kids Fun Run

In the fall of the year, Home & School offers students the opportunity to collect donations for the laps they run during St. John's Fun Run.  "Run for God's Sake!"

Holiday Greenery Sale

Home & School coordinates this fundraiser with Peck's Farm Market East.  Wreaths, crosses, and door swags, adorned with frosted pine cones and a wired ribbon, as well as garland can be ordered through the month of October and are ready for pickup at school before Thanksgiving vacation.  These greenery items will "spruce" up any home for the Holidays!

Scrip Gift Cards

Selling gift cards through Scrip is also a major fundraiser for St. John's Home & School.  Scrip provides an easy way to raise money for St. John's School that does not involve fundraising, but can be part of everyday needs, i.e.: gas, groceries, and household items.  Scrip gift cards can be purchased from any school family,  at school, after Mass at church, and at the Spring Green Pharmacy.
